HD DVD News: Warner extends support of HD DVD

In a surprising twist, Warner realized that it was drunk when it decided to go Blu-ray and has now woken up to a fat hairy chick, and a few infections. That may be pushing it a bit, but Warner has quietly annouced that it will extend its exclusive obligations to HD DVD for three weeks so that it can continue to release discs in both formats.
What will this ultimately mean? Who knows. What we do know is that the announcement a few weks ago was more than Warner made it out to be. Since the announcement Warner has waivered on why it made the announcement and has not extended it production of HD DVDs.

Actually it does still end June 1st. Its just that every HD DVD title released between now and then will come out 3 weeks later than the winning format.
